Counseling Approach
Hi, my name is Brittany. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Boise, Idaho, offering individual and couples therapy for teens and adults. I support clients navigating anxiety, body image and self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and hormonal health issues—including PMDD and PCOS. All are welcome here! In this space, I invite you to show up as your authentic self in a place of acceptance and safety. My space is LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, size-inclusive, and culturally accepting.
With a background in trauma-informed care, crisis stabilization, and relational work, I specialize in helping women and people with a uterus reconnect with themselves, manage emotional symptoms, and move toward healing. I specialize in supporting individuals with mental health symptoms surrounding premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and additional body image/self-esteem concerns. My approach blends traditional talk therapy with creative tools like art, movement, and mindfulness. I’m currently in training as an EMDR therapist and often weave somatic-based practices into sessions.
Whether you’re navigating the emotional ups and downs of PMDD, the body-based and hormonal impacts of PCOS, or working toward greater self-compassion and embodiment, you are not alone. Therapy is a collaborative process—and it’s my honor to walk with you as you move toward greater connection, self-compassion, and alignment with what matters most.
A Little About Me
When I’m not in counseling sessions, I am usually adventuring outdoors (hiking, climbing, backpacking, traveling, swimming, etc.) with my dog Canela (Pit Bull/Lab mix), reading a fantasy or non-fiction book, or spending time with my friends and family.
